چکیده

Social networks and interactions in social media involve both positive and negative relationships. Signed graphs capture both types of relationships: positive edges correspond to pairs of “friends”, and negative edges to pairs of “foes”. The edge sign prediction problem, that aims to predict whether an interaction between a pair of nodes will be positive or negative, is an important graph mining task for which many heuristics have recently been proposed [22, 23]. We model the edge sign prediction problem as follows: we are allowed to query any pair of nodes whether they belong to the same cluster or not, but the answer to the query is corrupted with some probability 0 < q < 12 . Let δ = 1 − 2q be the bias. We provide an algorithm that recovers all signs correctly with high probability in the presence of noise for any constant gap δ with O( logn δ4 ) queries. Our algorithm uses breadth first search as its main algorithmic primitive. A byproduct of our proposed learning algorithm is the use of s− t paths as an informative feature to predict the sign of the edge (s, t). As a heuristic, we use edge disjoint s− t paths of short length as a feature for predicting edge signs in real-world signed networks. Our findings suggest that the use of paths improves the classification accuracy, especially for pairs of nodes with no common neighbors.

On the effect of low-quality node observation on learning over incremental adaptive networks

In this paper, we study the impact of low-quality node on the performance of incremental least mean square (ILMS) adaptive networks. Adaptive networks involve many nodes with adaptation and learning capabilities. Low-quality mode in the performance of a node in a practical sensor network is modeled by the observation of pure noise (its observation noise) that leads to an unreliable measurement....

Clustering with Noisy Queries

In this paper, we initiate a rigorous theoretical study of clustering with noisy queries (or a faulty oracle). Given a set of $n$ elements, our goal is to recover the true clustering by asking minimum number of pairwise queries to an oracle. Oracle can answer queries of the form :"do elements $u$ and $v$ belong to the same cluster?"-- the queries can be asked interactively (adaptive queries), o...

The Mediating Role of Cognitive-Emotion Regulation Strategies in the Relationship between Theoryof Mind with Negative Emotions (Anxiety, Depression, Stress) of Parents of Exceptional Children in Mashhad Daily Rehabilitation Centers

Present research was performed to investigate the relationship between theory of mind with negative emotions (anxiety, depression, stress) with the mediating of cognitive emotion regulation strategies. The statistical population was all parents of exceptional children in Mashhad daily physical, dynamic, mental rehabilitation centers in 1396-97 year. A sample of 196 people was selected based on ...

The Role of Positive and Negative Meta-emotions, Religious Beliefs and Resilience in Predicting Corona Anxiety of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Introduction: Corona virus disease has become one of the largest public health crises of present time. Diabetes disease has a very high prevalence and people with diabetes are one of the main groups at risk of corona disease. It seems that positive and negative meta-emotions, religious beliefs and resilience are associated with corona anxiety. As a result, the aim of this study was investigate ...
